“A tree that is unbending is easily broken.”
Bak Fu Pai, also known as White Tiger, is a southern Chinese Martial Art, which concentrates on internal development.
Considered by experts as one of the most secretive, mysterious, and deadly style of Kung Fu, Fung Doe Duk is credited as
the founder of Bak Fu Pai.
Fung Doe Duk is one of the few Shaolin Monks that escaped the burning of the temple. Along with Bak Mei, Fung Doe
Duk decided to settle in the Taoist Kwong Wai Temple. Together they shed their Buddhist roots and adopted the Taoist
tradition. They also developed their own systems of self-defense. Fung Doe Duk developed Bak Fu Pai while Bak Mei
developed the White Eyebrow system.
Bak Fu Pai relies on relaxed, centered and rooted postures to issue the maximum force with minimum strength. Every movement
in the forms of Bak Fu Pai is designed primarily for self-defense. Its soft flowing movements allow the students to study in detail
the mechanics of the human body.
Aside from its deadly self-defense techniques, Bak Fu Pai also benefits the student for healthier body, externally and internally.
Its slow, systemized movements allow the practitioner to analyze exactly how to move and to use the correct amount of energy in
every technique. This gives the practitioner a refreshing feeling towards his body and mind.
